AI Credits are the units Builder uses to measure and allocate AI-powered features in Builder. These credits give you access to powerful generative AI capabilities including code generation, design generation, and Visual Editor AI Chat.
- Credits do not roll over from month to month or from one plan to another in the event of a subscription change.
- New subscribers receive that plan's full credit allocation regardless of when they subscribe during the month.
- Both Develop and Publish use the same credit system and pricing structure.
Builder requires credits for AI use in certain features. Here's where AI credit use applies in Builder:
Feature | How credits are used | Available in |
---|---|---|
Generate code with the Visual Editor or the CLI | 1 credit per code generation | Develop only |
1 credit per prompt | ||
1 credit per prompt |
Your credit limit depends on your plan. If you run out of credits, Builder shows a notification letting you know that you've used all your credits.
If you subscribe to a plan late in the month, you receive the full month's credits. Builder does not pro-rate or rollover credits from one plan to another nor from one billing cycle to the next.
When you reach your credit limit:
- Free users must wait until the daily reset or upgrade to a paid plan.
- Pro users can purchase additional credits to continue using AI features.
- Legacy Basic and Growth users can purchase additional credits to continue using AI features.
Here's how bandwidth is allocated in relation to AI credits:
Develop
- New users: 20 GB for every 100 AI Credits
- Existing users: 25 GB for every 100 additional credits
Publish
- Additional Visual Views must be purchased separately for increased bandwidth.
Sometimes, the Visual Editor AI might throw an error and provide a Regenerate button. If you click the Regenerate button when receiving this error, a credit is not deducted from your allotted credits.
To display your current credit usage, go to Space Settings -> Subscription.
