Fusion Projects provides a way to create and iterate on applications using AI and visual editing. Prototype ideas, build new web applications, or convert Figma designs to code.
After creating your application with Fusion, share your work by creating a repository with just a few clicks.
A repository is a storage location for all the files in a software project, along with a complete history of every change made to them.
When you click the Create Repo button in a Fusion Project, Fusion takes the project you've built with AI and sets it up in a version control system. Software developers on your team can then run the project locally and investigate the generated code.
To create a repository from one of your Projects, you must have a connection to your organization's version control system. For more information on what systems Fusion supports and how to set this up, visit Projects Setup overview.
To create a net-new application from a prompt:
- Go to the Projects page in the Builder app.
- In the prompt box at the top of the Projects page, type in what you want to generate and press enter.
Builder transitions you to the Visual Editor, where it then builds your application from scratch.
If you are primarily looking to test out Fusion's Project prompting functionality, try the following prompt:
Build an event invite for an upcoming staff holiday party,
highlighting the basic event details and what kind of
activities there will be. Fill in placeholder details
wherever appropriate. The main interaction on the site
should be to respond Yes or No to the invite, with a place
to include the user's name and whether they will be
bringing a plus one.Upon clicking Enter, Fusion creates a new Project for you.
With such a minimal prompt, the Project created by Fusion may not be exactly what you need. Refine your prompt, add context, or make additional prompts and edits to improve the Project.
To create a repository from your created Project:
- Within your Fusion Project, click the Create Repo button.
- Choose an organization and Project name.
- Click the Create Repository button.
Fusion creates the repository for you and opens your repository in a new page.
Remember, to create a repository from one of your Projects, you must have a connection to your organization's version control system.
